Hunter/gatherer origins support the idea some fasting is normal.

A couple times a month I do a 24+ hour fast on weekends. Usually eat lunch Friday and don't eat again till Saturday afternoon. That's long enough to clear out my system but not so long as to feel like starving. I wouldn't be able to do a multi day fast till I retire. Just too active. I like the way it makes me feel and hope I can always find time to for a 24-30 hour fast. I think people eat way too much. I also have a couple of friends doing it too. Congrats on doing one for 7 days. That's great.

I find your experiment fascinating and adventuresome and would love to learn more from your 7 day test...

You probably also lost some weight although I can't imagine it would be recommended primarily for a weight loss programs, but still you likely did lose some weight and I'm curious how much you did lose over those 7 days...

Also, and more importantly, could you share specifically in what ways it changed your perspective on food and eating???

I would love to hear more about what you learned and what you experience as the days went on... TIA
