Martha Stewart conviction was for obstruction and for lying to investigators. The insider trading thing supposedly saved her about $45K in losses - a significant sum, but not such a major deal for someone worth multiple hundreds of millions. The insider trading issue, apparently, was never proven, and wasn't part of any plea agreement. The stock in question, btw, was not related to her business, it was an investment in ImClone - a Biotech high flier, very popular, for a while, in those days.

I think Martha was advised to sell by her broker who had information about something expected. I'd be surprised if she even knew it was information she should not use until after the event.

She was certainly not like anthony@ who ... well it was a long, sad, arrogant, process...ending in his suicide.

I would certainly not be boasting if I had got Martha jailed. That was like shooting fish in a barrel after dropping bait on the surface.

It would be a good boast if somebody gets the following locked up:
2 x Clintons
Huma Abedin and Weiner
Those Pakistani security software crooks
The bit washing evidence destroyers
Clapper
Brennan
Rice
Lynch
Lerner
Obama
McCabe
Comey
Lisa Page (not Carter)
Strzock or however it's spelled
Nuland
Kerry
Cheryl (the lawyer)
Powers
I forget the rest.
