Tim,

Boot up time is not a problem. Allowing us time to shut the system down is. We program cron to force a reboot on SuperBowl Sunday during the last quarter. ;<)

Boot up time depends on which flavor of Unix, Speed and size of system, and what SW is loaded (including net connections).

Off Topic:

I am currently operating a Dell Optiplex 100 mhz pentium using Unix for my medical software. Is there any advantage of using Unix/Xenix over a windows enviorment type network?
Also where can I get any additional information about Unix so that I may be able to perform some basic servicing of the operating system.
