<<Are you a really, really good chess player>>

No, but I do enjoy the challenge whatever the level of the person I'm playing. I actually learned to play the game around 6 years old when a playmate got a game for Christmas. I originally learned that whoever took the king, as in physically taking it from the board, won. Of course when my mother learned of my newest game interest she set me straight on a few things. I was winning games against her by age 9 or 10. Until I got to high school, I had never met anyone else that liked or even knew how to play the game.

I lost a really old board when I was a high school freshman, because I took it to a friend's house and for whatever reason never went back to pick it up. It was called a "3 in 1 Board". It had a (spelled like it sounds) Wee-gee board on one side, a checker board and tic-tac-toe board on the other. Wish I had it now. I wonder what it would be worth?

So do you play the game? You know, if we could get a "chic" at the Chess Masters thread things could pick up dramatically. :-)

Catching up on my pent up lack of typing skills.

Christine,

<< . . .with the stretchy neck part pulled up over my nose, getting giant dinosaur graham animal cracker crumbs all over the flowered flannel sheets and wishing for an early spring.>>

I'll be nice, besides it would be to easy.

When I was younger, I had a vent right next to my bed just before the foot of it. In the winter, I would drape the sheet over the vent, and when the central heating would come on, it was like sleeping in a warm bubble. The warm air would puff up the sheet and blanket. It was so cool.

<<Yesterday, I floundered around in water a foot deep,>>

We haven't seen the sun for appr. 11 days nor have we seen many dry ones. I read in the paper today that two lakes nearby (one runs into the other via a short stretch of river) had risen 5 and 8 feet in the first nine days of Jan. Bet all those arrowhead hunters are cursing now for thinking they were going to have time to look where the lakes had receeded. I don't look for them.

Remember that house they showed over and over again on TV located in CA about two years which collapesed into a sink hole after some heavy rains? Was that SF?

Lastly, I think the correct term, instead of <<strong team right now>> would be, regarding the 49'ers, a NEXT year team. <VBG> Hey, I thought they would be in the Super Bowl, but then I thought the Chief's would do better than they did to. I think the Schottenhiemer curse got 'em.

Oh no, I'm not done yet. :-)
