Exactly what I said last night:

Message 31568414

"Speaking outside the White House, Sen. Ben Sasse says President Donald Trump directed U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow to look about renegotiating entry into the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the trade deal Trump withdrew from on his first day of office. "That's really good news for America," said the Nebraska Republican. Trump said it might be easier to come to an agreement now that 11 other nations have signed on, according to Sasse."

I know a little bit about Trump because I'm from his home state and my family has dealt with him in business. (They are not friends.). He has been railing against NAFTA for the past 20 years. He is not very well thought out or balanced. His emotions control him. He thinks he is beyond the law. He thinks of himself as entitled.

I'm no politician and never had any desire to become one. But I have common sense. Clearly, China told the Trump administration that the easiest way to negotiate an agreement is through TPP. So, Trump went along, for now. If he is sincere about joining, the cartel will make concessions to get the US on board.
