Geoffrey got this right RMR manages this captive entities to their benefit, not the benefit of the shareholder.
Paul mentioned that he has done some decent swing trades with GOV, good for him, but couldn’t one do this just as well with another REIT stock where managements honest? There is no shortage of those and there is a long term premise owning such a stock, vs owning GOV, which is a value trap, if not worse.

RE: GOV ---> now OPI ... dood, you were spot on. I dont think anyone who owns the stock now trusts the management.

That said, I decided to wade back into it today, speculating that interest rates may be stable for awhile an perhaps even dip. I think the current yield is over 6.% and BV ~ $49.00
