You have been set straight by the physics genius.

I find it exciting. It is where I go when I want to be thrilled.

There is magic in the quantum world. And the concepts are cool. And I have a great ability to read stuff for hours I do not understand at all. I once read an entire book on time and did not understand a single sentence-lol. True.

I really like "Nothingness" by Henning Genz. Who knew vacuums were so interesting. When I read that stuff I can see how simplistic our culture's views are about our existence.

Imagine, from nothing can come something, virtual particles (constantly popping up in vacuums) can change into real particles by passing through vacuum energy. And vacuum gravity that works opposite to normal gravity and is probably what is pulling the universe apart and causing it to accelerate.

QM also convinced me that intelligence is pervasive throughout the universe. In fact it seems impossible for it to be otherwise, which shrinks the role of any gods.

PS in that debate between Einstein and Niels Bohr, Einstein finally admitted defeat. It was a headline in the NY Times.

An Einstein story. I have read many biographies of him.

He and Thomas Edison were on a ship coming into New York and there were huge crowds waiting to greet them. Einstein said to Edison:' what does this all mean and Edison said:" Nothing, nothing at all".

I love Einstein, for his humanity and curiosity and civility.
