"Purely speculation on your part."

It's not speculation at all. Based on Hock's actions when acquiring Broadcom and his statements of expected cost cutting synergies at qualcomm we could easily have seen a 30% or more layoff for American employees.

Pcstel, re: QCOM layoffs..........................................

Hmmm, more than speculation if taking Tan at his word at accommodating AAPL which was demanding its “net” royalty be cut to $4/ device from an already under market royalty of $8.

Cutting QCOM’s high margin royalty business in half or more would certainly be much deeper than the $1B in cuts the company proposed back in January.
