Yes. And companies like LMT still thrive 30 years after the Cold War ended. Probably not doing as good as back then, but they need a steady flow of DOD orders to survive. No capitalism there.

I think Russia “losing” the Cold War, or, phrased more accurately, becoming fascist itself, has led to less socialism everywhere including here in America. There are less benefits and services for the poor. In many cases Churches chip in. Definitely not “in God we trust” but “in Greed we trust”. Unions lost their bargaining power. Gini ratios skyrocketed everywhere. I am not sure even how you can effectively fight health insurance industry to introduce Universal care. Obamacare merely mandated everyone to buy health insurance regardless of job and wealth status. Can’t blame America for what it always has done... it's a shame. Then again, Silicon Valley is traditionally left-wing. You have some folks there donating their entire wealth to charities. That is “in God we trust”
