"All decent, patriotic Americans want Trump gone."

What you want is a coup.

There's a lot of space between wanting Trump gone calling for a coup. I don't know if Bentway would actually advocate a coup of not, just saying.

Academic question. Were the voters to vote in a Congress that ran on a platform of impeaching Trump and they effected that, would that be a coup or would that be the will of the people just as electing Trump was the will of the people?

Only if you redefine the word "coup"

coup

ko?o/

noun

1. a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.

"he was overthrown in an army coup"

synonyms:seizure of power, coup d'état, putsch, overthrow, takeover, deposition;

revolution, palace revolution, rebellion, revolt, insurrection, mutiny, insurgence, uprising

"a violent military coup"

Realizing that the wrong person was elected by a combination of loopholes in the election process, foreign involvement and then doing something about it is not a 'coup' with the current usage of the word.

In this case, 'wrong person' would be someone who is unable to discharge the duties of the office, someone who is using the office to enrich himself, his family and minions at the expense of the tax payer, and who makes decisions based on factors other than what is best for the country.

.

>>What you want is a coup.<<

As I said, I'll take whatever gets Trump deposed. He's just not a fit man to be president of the US. that's obvious to anyone with eyes and ears and a brain.
