CNN has a more sobering view of Intel's earnings.

Not that it is bad, but I wouldn't get too excited:

-The whisper number was $1.05, so it missed that.

-Revenue's are up slightly, earnings are down from one year ago.

Again, I don't want to emphasize this is all that bad, but hardly a blowout from a growth perspective.

I predict an early rise in the stock tomorrow morning and late day profit taking. I think some analyst will say the full effect of the Asian debacle will not be felt until the next several quarters. Kurlack, although in need of a whipping, will try to save face by making the afoementioned claim. Eventually though INTC strength will prove yet another baffon analyst wrong and hopefully Merrill will do the right thing and fire him. Until then he will cost billions in market cap to investors with his wrong predictions.
