Since I see a clx reversal next week monday thru wednesday - I'll say that Trump comes back with a more positive story yet the devil is in the details and that will take much more time. I do think crude gets above 70 WTI and Brent 80. WTI has logistical problems for getting out of the US. Add to that shipping fees. Brent has successfully been curbed and Saudi's will control Brent supply for the IPO. In the long run - we will begin to see the Brent portion of crude peak - the result of greatly minimized exploration budgets. ESV had a good quarter not in earnings but in future contracts. I expect the same from Rig. Ulra deep water drilling off of Africa, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, and Gulf of Mexico are being funded for long term exploration and big reservoir finds. Yes Brks is a long term but and hold for me. They will always have the semi business as it cycles and they are in the better growth areas (one of which is really growing - what they call advanced packaging. Cohu is into this as well - They call it" Wafer Scale advanced packaging" - BIG part of automotive and that will be less cyclical and a great long term growth area. It represents 20 % of all chips made and fast growing as it is cheaper production process. Brks will try this new approach of building small depositories adjacent to clinics and university research centers, as well as large pharma's. Some of the compounds and bio samples are just too valuable for these research centers to trust out of their possession - The next 2 billion a year compound - the cure for a cancer of alzheimers - they want them under their own roof. Brks has a contract to build the first of these with a big research Hospital. They will take on debt and build the facility adjacent to the hospital Could be under or in a parking deck but they'll build it and them operate it - perfect application for their robotic delivery tracks. Can't you just see a regrigerated vacuum canister tracking through a insulated pipe and going to a room in thr research area? There are Reits that build medical offices and bio science research centers - I have a position in HCP - that is their focus: hospitals, medical office buildings, research centers. They take on debt at 4.10% and build the facilites with a 6% return through the rent factor. I see Brks embracing debt - so they build the depository sell their equipment to themselves depreciate both and charge a rent factor to the hospital life science company. In ten years they'll be in all the very big research centers, hospitals, universities, and pharma companies. Not only will their cryo equipment sales grow and the biostorage business grow - but the stability of revenue from their own depoisories will become annuity like revenue stream. In 10 years they'll be established and the dividend will be a double. Love to buy more, but the'll have to drop a lot for me to get big into them again - hoping they do but I don't think so. Earnings have been good so far for the SPX - I believe it will be further embraced - what we're enduring is manipulation of price for the accumulation of stock. When Wall Street is full up - they'll sell it back to us at a markup. Let's see eh? Bob
