Most of the vagrant types moved on Shagging bums out of town () was long the prime way of dealing with that problem. Not in tune with current sensibilities, but it may have been the least bad option. Tended to discourage that undesirable behavior which could be affected and kept the incorrigible on the run. ()Years ago I went on a long scooter ride through the Pac NW and Western Canada. Several times, late at night and exhausted, we sacked out in the park of some tiny burg. The local gendarmes confused us with tramps and had us on our way while still dark or very early AM. The rats!
