Strategy to Get AMD Profitable Again:

I have one suggestion to the CEO of AMD. FIRE all the management of FAB25. They sucked big time. They still haven't solved their yield problem. Incompetency and losing money are not a ways to gain 30% of the world CPU market share.

This is what AMD has projected:

------Expected---------Actual
Q2----500,000 ---------350,000
Q3----1M to 2M --------- 1M
Q4----- > 2M ----------- 1.5M
Q1/98-- > 3M ----------- 2.0M

Blah, blah, blah

If next time AMD makes a projection the actual will be 75% of the projected.

Stockman,,, AMD was last profitable (full-year) from 1992 - 1995. In these years AMD averaged about $200,000,000 in profits. This averaged out to about $1.75 per share each year.
