I'm real interested in how my cholesterol is going to be on my next visit. Have cut back on starches and started taking a statin, but have been eating more eggs.

If you're going to eat potatoes, try sweet potatoes over white potatoes........they have more fiber. Once or twice a week we allow ourselves 1/4 of a baked sweet potato each. We used to each get a whole one........or white potato for that matter...............and pig out on them.................but those days are long gone.

Now that we've weaned ourselves off of heavy carb consumption, we're goth perfectly happy to have just 1/4 of a sweet potato with lots of butter and salt. The bulk of our meals include meat and veggies.

Haven't had pizza in a long, long time, but I believe as long as they're few and far between, food rewards are perfectly fine.

Congratulations!
