You are ignoring the PR campaign against the agreement. And it was effective at first, hence the negative polls initially. The amount of misinformation, read 'lies', about it was staggering. On the scale of what happened to the ACA. You still promote a lot of it. It took time to counter it.

Which is why those initial polls are irrelevant. It was quick and easy to just make shit up about it, it took time to analyze the thousand or so pages and figure out the truth. Your idea that most Americans were able to digest and form a rational opinion of the agreement immediately is ludicrous.

A basic problem is that you have a basic assumption that Obama is/was incompetent. A corollary to that is he surrounded himself with incompetents. Finally, you assume that the only ones negotiating with the Iranians were incompetents sent by Obama. So you are/were primed for fake news indicating that the deal was incompetent. The problem is that, even if your first assumption was true, that didn't mean any of your other ones were. In fact, all of the evidence is to the contrary. Which makes your conclusions suspect. At best.
