Mitsubishi Electric -- 2 (to defer 256-DRAM Kochi plant) AFX, Tuesday, January 13, 1998 at 20:37 Mitsubishi Electric also said said it will cut its year to March consolidated capital spending on the microchip sector by more than 15 bln yen to below 90 bln, postponing construction of a 256 DRAM chip plant in Kochi prefecture. "We will postpone construction plans of the Kochi plant for 256-megabit DRAM chips," the spokesman said. "The cost for the construction is estimated at about 15 bln yen."
