It only means the stocks are large enough to be in the best, low cost index funds.
If Vanguard Funds and Fidelity Funds own some of the company I'm considering buying.....thats a huge vote of confidence for that stock.

I sold the 1994 'vette and custom bought a 2011 BMW X3 35i (twin turbo, 3L six) just after they became available. It is probably as fast as the aging 'vette was in a straight line and far more practical and safe... Plus with the choking traffic, having a manual transmission here was a chore and made the car nearly impossible to drive in SF without burning out clutches and using the handbrake on hills... getting too old for that crap. The paddle shifters with the performance package on the X3 are there if I want to play F1 driver in the hills.

My GF didn't like how hard it was to get in and out of AND she couldn't see over the hood well and there was no room to take her mother with us to dinner. Good, overall compromise.

Ask nicely and maybe Bob will post an image of his "new" 409 Impala. :)
