I don't know if it's primitive. I'm certainly offended by some ideas. Policies that screw the poor offend me. Policies that penalize people who are ill and need help offend me. Policies that assist in the degradation of the environment deeply offend me. I think it's how you respond, when you are offended, that defines whether you are "primitive" or now. And I would not use the word primitive. I think I'd use the words logical and educated.
