i can answer that for you mannie

we have a supply management system that allows
our farmers to neither over produce nor under produce
in supplying canadians with milk. they make an
excellent living.

besides, we already import more dairy product from
the u.s.for cheese manufacturing than we export to
the u.s.

also, we don't want the u.s dumping its excess milk
production in canada.

seems to me that your farmers should stick to
supplying americans with milk. goodness, there are
330 million of you, and still you over produce. something
is not right with that system imo.

I do not know Trump's rationale but I would imagine it was a tactical remark. Time will tell.

I usually assume he it negotiating in the absence of other explanation.
