US military bases in Canada are not for Cdns benefit it just makes us the battle buffer zone protecting the US. As for the other 130 counties that have American military bases that is a statement that needs no comment from me but I wonder why China and Russia are so intent on increasing their military presence worldwide. As for Cdn soft wood subsidies that is broadening the discussion somewhat. But I do know that when ever Canada has grieved the crippling duties levied by the US to independent world trade tribunals that they have ruled in Canada's favour every time. I do agree with you on one aspect of soft wood lumber thou and that is I would like to see Canada cut down less trees I kinda would like to see a lot more of them standing.
