Your whole narrative indicates you are living in the past and don't see what's coming down the pike.

China, for all practical purposes, already owns the seas. Who's going to change that? Are you supposing the US should do that? How could we without using military force?

I think Japan has moved a little beyond the stage of catching babies on bayonets, too.
