P.T., if we were interested in sense, would we be long any large-cap tech stocks right now? Regarding Intel in particular, I'm concerned about what good old steve said a while back on some other thread --- that Compaq had stuffed the channel for Christmas. That's a lot of CPUs, and I assume Intel has them on the books for Q497. Since the channel didn't exactly report a blowout Christmas, shouldn't CPU orders go way down in Q198? Rich

PTB" Perhaps you should get your facts lined up before you insult someone.E in 1997 were up dramatically from 1996. Revenues were also up 4.4 billion or about 20%. Yet the stock has languished.
