Jay,it sounds like BAY is taking a page from CSCO manual on obtaining new technologies. I hope it works as well for them as it has for CSCO. I really don't expect the street to be concerned with the write offs. Generally speaking when CSCO & COMS have done it, the street looked at the numbers with & without. If they were good without, the stock went up. The key points are the intergration of the different company cultures and is what BAY is buying "real/proven" technology or "smoke & mirrors".
