danderso, I do not follow the flat panel display industry closely but an impression I have is that it is largely dominated by the Japanese and that prices are still high as a function of yields. I am not aware of any particular connection between flat panel display manufacturing and SE Asia. This would be consistant with my understanding that the assembly is largely based on automated processes. Maybe someone else knows more about this then I. By the way. I still think we are a long way off from laptops replacing desktops. There is still much to great a price/performance delta and I suspect here may always be. Laptops have a purpose and will grow but not at any large expense to the desktop. Best, Stitch
