Intel yesterday declared their ECBP - Employee Compensation Bonus Plan. All eligible employees will receive a BONUS of 29.9 days wages (assuming they worked all year at Intel in 1997) for 1997. Part of that has already been paid for perfromance in the first 6 months of 1997. That amounts to an 11% ANNUAL BONUS for these employees. Please note that this applies to all eligible Intel employees. Intel's employees are well compensated for their performance The Executive Bonus plan is separate. Paul

Greg, I can only tell you what I hear from friends who are working at the main Intel site in silicon valley as well as from a former collegue who left AMD recently. I agree, its a very small sample and I probably shouldn't generalize. joey
