Howard,

Re: some would say the daily price chart for INTC is forming a nice by-the-book head and shoulders top.

He must have been talking about an inverted H&S -- that's what looks like to me.

An inverted H&S is very bullish.

Howard - Re: "Does a head-and-shoulders top for INTC mean tough times ahead"

No - it means Intel stands Head and Shoulders above its competition.

Look at Intel's earnings.

Look at AMD's losses.

Look at Cyrix's losses (buried in NSM's earnings report).

Intel is expanding sales and profits.

Intel's competition is expanding their press releases - while recording consistent losses.

Paul

Howy,

"Does a head-and-shoulders top for INTC mean tough times ahead?"

No, it means no more dandruff.

Two cents from a recently converted short termer to long termer -
For techies, buy INTC, CPQ, DELL, AMAT, CSCO, IOM, QNTM, CREAF putting 10K in each, turn into Rip van Winkle and wake up a billionaire.
