They conserve compassion for the white folks they think have been treated unfairly. I've predicted this for a long time.

After WWII, we became 5% of the world's population consuming 25% of the world's resources, which obviously was unsustainable. We're still 5% of the world's population, but now we consume 20% of the world's resources, and it's continuing to normalize.

Americans, told they were 'exceptional' for decades, are unable to accept that we aren't, that we're just people like any other. Fat and anxious, we see our lifestyles decline to toward the global average, while poor people in other places like China and India see their possibilities opening up. They're hopeful, excited, working like dogs and raising families that do the same.

Meanwhile, we're sad, depressed, angry, and ready to sell our souls to the first con man that comes along.

Which was Trump.

What do they conserve?

That is easy. As Dubya said, their compassion.

That is still true.
