Brumar was a never-Trumper from the very beginning. I think there are others, but they don't seem to want to post on Brumar's thread. So Brumar's over there talking to himself. He should be on this thread, it would seem.

Also, I think he was totally behind the Iraq war and stuck with Bush through it all. One characteristic of Trump voters is that they are either people who never bought into the war in the first place, or they supported it but now want to get it in the rear view mirror as fast as possible.

Old-style Republicans, like Will, Krauthammer, Rich Lowery, and all the well-known neo-con names are trying to rewrite history and lay down a deceitful meme. They're pushing the idea that Trump is destroying the GOP. They won't admit that it was them who destroyed the GOP.

No one else could have defeated Hillary and Trump only did it by a hair. The Iraq war was just too fresh, and all the other candidates were supporting issues that were Democrat-lite. They were Globalists, strong Globalists, and were tepid on immigration. Their corporate donors were the same ones who supported Hillary.

I believe the GOP was as good as dead and demographics were going to finish it off by the end of the Hillary presidency. Trump, is a terribly flawed messenger but he has the right message. Take care of American workers before anything else. The rest will fall into place.
