well I just called and the person I spoke to could not give me an "exact date" but said, "it would be sometime in the 1st quarter of this year."

So, basically they don't know dick.

Let's have someone from DALLAS call, so that their caller ID won't show they're dealing with an investor.

>>We talking about *TCI Dallas*, yes?...or is it another Texas
city TCI?? <<

I believe that it's Arlington which will be the earlier.

This is based on a conversation I just had with a TCI manager in Dallas. He said that there is a large article on the TCI digital commitment in today's Dallas Morning News (I have no idea at this point whether or not they have a website).

Two basic points are clear from my conversation:

Roll out of digital is out of ACTV's hands. The understanding I got from the manager was that the Beta test in Arlington was very positive and everything is working well

And, roll out of digital service, boxes, and services within it is now in TCI or the cable ops hands. End of story. When the TCIs of the world are ready (when they build it), subscribers and services will come.

IMHO, clearly, this is a waiting game. IMHO, time to do something else, go golfing, rather than get "nutted up" about "missed timelines." To be honest with you, I have never been able to figure out why company officers and employees ever make deadline statements to the public in startups like this one. Almost every single startup that I've covered from biotech, to voice recognition, to software, and even acquisition schedules in m & a rollups shoots itself in the foot as far as shareholders are concerned by stating some kind of deadline.

IMHO, it will happen when it happens.

IMHO, it is about to happen, but when is anyone's guess (including the best guess of staff and mgmt at TCI, evidently).

Humbly proffered perspectives from,

Ed
