I see the news as inconsequential. CME has other strategic
relationships and are being pursued by international, big name
firms. Also, one can't get too upset when Abbott is cutting out funding
to all third party research and development companies, that are
linked with Medisense. They have decided to go internal. Thus,
their decision has nothing to do with CME or its science. Now CME
can hook up with Johnson and Johnson (or someone else) and
concentrate on what they are trying to accomplish. I see this news
as neutral since CME was going to have to choose between partners
in the short term anyway. Any other comments?
