RE-ASV speculation Big earnings miss. it was ST painful, but not totally unexpected. Presumably CAT or Terex did not buy as many undercarriages hurting sales. A important point IMO to remember. This niche company has dealers in the North America, Australia, New Zealand markets. My latest acquisition Bemis was by an Aussie company. I believe these markets make it attractive for a Japanese company (hypothetically Kobota). Being ASV is a small company. Tariffs are very likely to have a impact on input costs, (STEEL). This IMO makes it even more susceptible to an acquisition. This by a bigger player with access to better input structure. MNTX & TEX looked to have washed there hands of ASV. My previous theory of a hypothetical (China based) Zoomlions seem out of the question for now. However I wouldn't rule out a domestic ALG, DE, or CAT. I'm holding for now.
