I don't know about that.
Yup another example of excess investment.

Chinese seem to do everything excessive

They may think it is a better use of funds than food stamps and welfare checks where their workers build stuff they hope to use someday when the skills they learn might find them a factory job while ours learn to sit on the stoop swilling malt liquor and smoking cigs. Obviously, the liquor and tobacco industries have a lot more sway here than they do in China.

In a sense, we do this with the far too large military as it gives tons of jobs building stuff we don't really need and occupying 21 bases in Germany when I bet we could keep Germany just as safe from Bolsheviks with 15.... militarybases.com

It was a warm, clear, beautiful day on the Bay. I windsurfed just downwind from SF.

See if you can see this image and click for full screen

It makes the politics, traffic and high cost to live here almost bearable.

Fun and a great workout too! So fun I really don't feel I'm working at a 4.9 level.

Ignore the elevation stats.... my altimeter in my GPS watch has issues. Speed and Heart rate have been cross checked with other HR meters.
