First of all...where have you been? Re: Predictions:

Well I think TV Cable companies, Telephone companies and existing ISP's could take up the balance, but I also beleive there is still alot of market avalible for new ISP's to make a go of it. You are seeing small ISP's closing, or being bought out. For a new ISP you are going to have to be very creative, because most of the untapped market is people who say they don't need the NET or are too scared of the Web or Computers.

A new ISP would have to address this issue VERY VERY aggressivly and with a VERY UNIQUE approach. (Maybe taking a notebook computer with a nice 14" screen running 16 million colors, to thier home and give people a taste of the web. Take the WEB to your new costomer, don't have him/her to come in for a demo. I don't know if it would work, I am not interested in being an ISP, I have other business ideas.)

If your current numbers of people on the NET is correct (seems correct to me), then we have not even scatched the surface of this new industry. As far as the compuphobic people are concerned, I relate them to the people who were apposed to the Telephone when it was first put into use. If my memory serves me correct, some though it was evil...talking through wires....don;t quote me on this, I heard something about that subject years and years ago.

But it does make sense, people are natualy scared of the unknowen. In time EVERYONE will be using the net, period.

Holly you seem to know allot about the computer industry.
