>> Dems held both Houses of Congress for only four years, two under Bush and two under Obama.

And that is plenty of time. Importantly, these issues have never been on DNC's radar or platform. Nothing stops a party to raise the issues, even when they are not in power. But if your answer makes you happy, so be it.

>> After Citizens United created new lawso the Dems had only one choice if they wanted to survive, cozy up to big business

DNC was cozying up to corporate interest long before Citizens United. They just suck up to different corporations than GOP. And while Citizens United was a terrible ruling, it has no bearing on public election funding, challenging gerrymandering, etc. And again, these issues were not on DNC platforms. Privately elected officials from both parties will tell you that they love gerrymandering because it means job security for them. It is the reason that 90+% of the Congress gets reelected while the approval of the Congress remains near all time low, Why would either party want to change that?

>> But it's not just corporate money that's corrupted our form of government.

Again, while that is true, it has no bearing on pushing platforms that will change that, including putting a 7 year ban on working as a lobbyist or similar positions after leaving the office. But again, that would hurt the pocket of your elected official and his cronies, so why would he do it?

You seem to have this view that every GOP senator is bad and every DNC one is good (or something close to it). I am of the opinion that they are both parts of the same corrupt system and simply sell their services to different corporations and different super-wealthy donors.
