Steve/Pat: I agree that DMT is well on it's way to becoming THE line code. Westell has a DMT chip from LSI with the AMTX/TI deal. This is great for trials, but Westell needs that TI and/or MOT solution. It's my understanding that Alcatel doesn't have a mass deployable silicon solution...yet. I think they call their next silicon release "R3". The "R2" release is poor on the power issue.

A few customers will use CAP and this should add revenue to the bottom line. Gary Seamans indicated they lost the JPC and BC from their lack of a DMT product. The fact remains, Westell still doesn't have a production level DSLAM unit. Overall, I agree with your understanding of DMT vs CAP.... until later.
