John/ GOOD SENSIBLE ADVICE. I too was wondering if things hadn't become a bit too bubbly on the thread over the past while. Value will get recognized while hype creates emotion but more often than not HURTS.......... repeat. HURTS. HURTS. HURTS. No one asked but here's somemore advice (wendy?) - DON"T GET EMOTIONAL WITH A STOCK or the story being spun. Been there, done it and probably will fall into the same trap again........ Some example? Some of the SI threads seem to be good for extracting info. but they can also lull you. Personally I've been lulled in several situations where if I'd been paying closer attention would have seen the warning signs flashing CAUTION lights. Yamana is one situation where the info. flow is GREAT and I still hold a stock needed to be sold. Pacific Rim is another active thread and also a crater at the moment. Thankfully Mongolia Gold isn't held but the info. on that thread seemed to be from a high level. Appreciate the perspective John gives however he states it best - "SPECULATIVE INVESTMENT". disclaimer: hold a position in this and other speculative "investments".
