John:
Thanks for the info. I was thinking that maybe it would be cool to start a thread that deals with networking hardware. That way, ivestors could keep up with the newest technology and maybe hear about who has what and what is hot. If you think that it could catch fire, maybe you should check it out. I would be really interested in hearing the different sides from companies like CSCC, ASND, CSCO, BAY, etc. Let me know if you think it is a good idea....

<< On marketing paper the GRF moves at close to the 12000, but their own tests show it running similar to a 7500 (with the 7500 in a suboptimal config :-) >>

And how much earlier was the GRF shipping? Technologies tend to leapfrog each other. A$ND's GRF has been shipping for a while and C$CO's 12000 is just ramping up. Let's see if A$ND's next router/switch product (which will undoubtedly arrive earlier than C$CO's next offering) leapfrogs C$CO's latest offering.

Not trying to start an argument, but it is something to take into account. C$CO isn't usually first to the market with the best products. They just use their large installed base and marketing muscle to take their fair share.

A sad fact of life for little companies like A$ND...
