Thank you. I think, even if we can figure things out correctly (which is a huge assumption) - there is the question of how the markets will react to events - they don't always do the "reasonable" thing. And even if we figure that out correctly, the next question is - when is the trade going to happen? And when will it stop and/or turn the other way? That's why I think it's important to have an essentially mechanical system, to give us guidance and to serve as a filter for shorter term trading. I can honestly say, my moving averages are smarter than I am... hence, if I'm smart, I should employ them... :)
