With less than 5% of the world population, the US is directly responsible for 25% of the environmental pollution. This figure does not include the environmental damage done on the behalf of US companies outside of the US. So a shrinking population is a good thing. The world needs to get out of the "growth" mindset and get into "sustainability" mindset. Why should we care how many new iPhones and gadgets are released every year if the cost is all of us running in the rat race and creating a terrible future for our grandchildren? Immigration is neither the problem nor the solution. It is an entirely unrelated matter that is used for the wrong reasons.
