Hi Jerome,

I do not think there is a Harley owner that would consider buying a Honda Gold Wing.

They both are in a luxury touring bike class, but the owners views are really at opposites.

For those who like to drive long distance (never did myself) - the gold wingers more than likely prevail here.

I've just never been into 600 - 700 miles in a day on a motorcycle.

If I was to go on a trip it would 200-300 miles a a day.

I think it would be on a Yamaha 1300FJR - it is hands down the best value. They make it on one run a year and they are all sold orders. More than likely 10,000 less than BMW and better in all regards.

Harleys are beautiful and expensive. Their owner base is a cult like collection of people spanning many age groups - a lot of boomers no doubt.

There custom Vehicle Operatiuons put out some just plain gorgeous bikes every year.

I don't think Trump even registers a name recognition with half of the Harley owners out there.

I real sure that Harley Owners would never consider a Honda - let alone know or care about tariffs.

Speaking of tariffs - I'll bet Honda execs are worried big time when Trump tweets about reciprocal tariffs on big bikes. I'm willing to bet Japan has a very high tariff on Harley's and the US has not much on big Japanese Bikes.

If and When Harley makes bikes in Euroland - they'll kick BMW's butt. There will be euro bureaucrats falling all over themselves trying to protect their overpriced local motorcycle maker. Competition with out tariffs will all but make BMW's a collector bike as they'll get run out of business IMO.

I don't ride long much but puts around. I never drink and ride so unlike many I don't go to the bar with my Harley's

I love my springer it's bags are nice and the back seat is more comfortable than my 2001 cruiser - which is just pretty and very fast.
