We got the talk but in a different perspective... taught to respect authority.

And I know from first hand experience how scared police are when they think they need to point a gun at you AND what they will do to you if you mouth off at them while intoxicated.

BTW, one of my best friends from high school, a very large, dark man from El Salvador with an "Afro," was shot dead by police soon after I decided I needed to quit drinking (age 31) and stop hanging out with him and another friend in the city where I grew up.

I did well to resist stealing and such with "the gang" but I knew it was getting next to impossible to "just say no" to powerful drugs they were into... so I got help and quit drinking while one of the guys became homeless and the other, like I said, was shot by police for not dropping a knife when he was high in his mother's garage (where he lived) and the family called the police because he was scaring them. I'm sad I could not help him, he was a kind soul and brilliant musician....

So, I'm not one to sit still for liberal BS... Richard Sherman is 100% right that we all have the ability to make choices and I know first hand how bad the consequences of making the wrong choices can be.
