They need to buy off CA and US government officials to require all new homes have their solar roofs. Tesla needs to get it subsidized by both governments with huge subsidies for the rich similar to how they were allowed to drive $120K, government subsidized, electric status symbols (that often use coal to supply the incremental grid power) in the HOV lanes to get to and from work faster. This might have been possible with HRC as it was with Obama, but they hit an "orange wall" with the current president. CA is doing its best by trying to require all new homes come with solar but then the Sanders types complain that there is no low cost housing built.... so interesting to watch.
