As a member of the Grand Alliance, a consumer-electronics consortium, Zenith had been a champion of a consumer television as opposed to a PC-like television. Lately, according to sources, Zenith has decided that the PC-like digital TV is a much larger market for its digital-TV demodulator cards and display-format chip sets than the expensive high-definition television consumer-oriented sets.
