Here is a good debate question that could lead some of us who've never owned it (because memory is a commodity) to buy MU.

IF Micron ( MU Charts) is such a good buy with its micro PE, then why doesn't Apple, Dell, HP, or even Intel buy it?
  • Apple, Microsoft, Google/Alphabet, Dell etc. would eliminate markups for chips used in their products and keep the profits

  • All US companies could make a big Political/Trump stink about how they will buy Micron then INVEST big money in it to give other US companies an even better alternative to Samsung, etc.

  • Apple has tons of cash burning holes in its pockets... They could pay off MU's debt then use the cash flow to grow organically into making their own processor chips....

Actually, any US company could do that. That nobody has done this at higher prices where the PE and PS were good....
