Sorry, not my department:) I'm in the Application Products Division, developing E-Commerce applications.

I know. But since e-mails are sent to a black hole it feels good to b*tch to "someone" who works for the company.

The whole concept of your company (that I liked so much) was that I could write an application and deploy it world wide in the time it took ftp to run. Didn't have to "really" worry about what OS machine the user had. Didn't have to "install" it anywhere.

That was a TREMENDOUS savings to me, especially someone who ONLY does GUI work. Add in the fact that user change requirements every week and you have pretty much explained the economic condition we are experiencing in the US. My little sister can develop an application that is better than the type of mainframe apps I was hired to do 12 years ago. And she's a drug dealer for SBH.

Now, I have to sniff out what browser the user has and write my app accordingly. Go to netscape.com and edit the source.

Trying to compete with Microsoft is making you guys just like them.
