OT: 128-bit encryption, Schwab, Mac, help?

When I try to connect to Schwab with *any* of my browsers (NN3.01, NN4.04, NN3.04Gold with strong encryption, IE3.0), the screen either freezes immediately (for NN) or the Mac crashes after I try to log on (with IE). Yes I will contact Schwab you may be sure. However, I would be grateful for any general advice from Mac users who have success with this. I tried to get the 128-bit browser from Microsoft but (surprise) got a varying diet of broken links, "failure to load active server page" messages, an 3.0.1 updater that wouldn't update 3.0 for me, & a menu which did not offer a 3.0 updater. Sigh. I hope some Mac user can suggest something.

TIA
Eve
