Bottom line, with everything included, how much was DSL costing you per month vs. your current ISDN setup? I thought DSL was supposed to be A LOT cheaper than the monthly rate you quoted.

Bigmouth Kumar says Intel will produce a PII using a different form factor. Socket 7? It cracks me up how this guy dishes out seemingly inside info. The DEC settlement and Intel beating earnings are two examples. Maybe there won't be a L2 cacheless PII after all.

In addition, a fourth-quarter release of Deschutes will eschew the "Slot 1" cartridge and use a chip package similar in concept to the older Pentium, added Kumar, saving further costs. Intel executives have themselves admitted that the Slot 1 architecture could vanish on low-end Pentium II chips.
