Robert, ADSL was costing $125 a month. I also thought it would be far cheaper but GTE has to make a buck. Would use a cable MODEM (if it was available) at maybe $50 a month but $125 was outrageous.

Using a USR Courier X2 MODEM through an analog port on a USR IQ ISDN MODEM gives me a solid 53Kbs connection with no per-minute charges and only the standard $19.95 per month to the ISP. It's not as fast as ADSL but more than enough speed for surfing. And, PC-to-PC connections are rocksolid at >30Kbs

The only time I bother with ISDN digital is to connect with the office and huge downloads. That costs $.01 per minute while it lasts.
