TKA- Here we go again with "The State" weighing in with it's editorial opinion. What is needed is a forum where the other side gets as much opportunity as the "State" to give it's opinion. I believe the industry through the South Carolina Coin Operators Association has to continue one on one lobbying efforts with the lawmakers. Also, show that public sentiment is not where the "States" position contends it is. The "State" contends that the public has shifted in it's opinion since the referendum vote of 1994, but they present no hard data to support that statement. The poll that they took was not sufficient in size to make that statement.

The "State" puts down the referendum process, saying that the legislature knows best what the public wants. Evidently, they have never followed the referendum process in the state of California, where the people have been able to establish many issues that have moved across the country to other states.

Sorry for Rambling--Have to rush to the first tee.
